What do I do if I have forgotten my password?
If you have forgotten your password, please click in the login page on the link Forgot password? (located under the password input field). After entering your e-mail address, a link will (usually) be sent to you by e-mail within a few minutes. You can use this link to set a new password for your customer account. Please also check your SPAM folder if the e-mail has not reached you after 30 minutes. Of course you can also call our free service hotline 08 00 . 210 05 62 (Monday to Friday, 10.00 to 17.00 o'clock) or send us an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to help you.
How do I get access data?
If you have not yet created a customer account, you can register here and create your own customer account.
How can I edit information in my customer account?
Log in to your customer account with your access data (e-mail address and the corresponding password). Under "My account", you will find your profile in the first tile, where your data is stored. Here you can now add or change data. Don't forget to confirm your changes by clicking the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
NOTE: Changes in already published ads can NOT be changed as described above. Please refer to the FAQ under the point "Modification of a job ad" for information about changes in already placed ads.
How can I delete my customer account?
Advertisement placements for companies
How do I proceed to publish an advertisement in the stellenwerk portal?
After logging into your customer account, you can access the product selection by clicking on the "Offer job" button in the upper right-hand corner of the page. In the first step, you select the product category (e.g. student jobs) and then the desired product. In the second step you select the desired location(s) where your job ad should appear. For the products Premium and PremiumPlus you can choose between a duration of 30, 60 or 90 days. Click on the button "To ad data" to reach the input mask where you can enter all further details of your advertisement.
Modification of a job ad
How is it possible to change an advertisement after the booking?
Once you have booked an ad, you cannot make any changes to it yourself. If changes to already booked advertisements become necessary, we will gladly do this for you. Please send us your specific change request, stating the job ID of the ad, by e-mail to email@example.com (the job ID will be provided in the confirmation e-mails for your booking, or can be seen online, in the ad itself). We will then make the change for you as soon as possible (during the service hours Monday to Friday, 10.00 to 17.00 o'clock, usually within a few minutes). We ask for your understanding that, in your interest, we accept change requests exclusively by e-mail.
You have not received a confirmation e-mail from us despite booking?
Confirmation e-mails are automatically sent to the e-mail address you provided when placing your ad. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail from us despite a successful booking, there can be various reasons for this: Possibly you made a typing error when entering the e-mail address or the confirmation e-mail is categorized as SPAM by your firewall. If you do not receive the e-mail within 30 minutes, please contact our customer service.
When will I receive the invoice for my booking?
You can choose from three payment options when booking (step 4 "Payment"). No matter if you pay by invoice, credit card or PayPal, you will receive your invoice together with the confirmation for publishing your ad. You can view your invoices in your customer account in the section "Bills". If you have any questions regarding your invoice, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Payment for an advertisement
How do I pay for my job advertisement?
You can choose between three payment options when booking: Payment by invoice, credit card or PayPal. If you pay by credit card and PayPal, the invoice amount will be charged directly to your account. If you choose to pay by invoice, you will receive the necessary information for your bank transfer with the invoice. If you are only offered the payment methods credit card and PayPal, this is due to individual system settings per customer. Company profile and logo
Why can I create several (different) company profiles?
This functionality is primarily aimed at the personnel departments of large companies as well as at agencies that serve different customers and book ads in their name.
When should I create the company profile?
Please create the company profile BEFORE booking the Premium or PremiumPlus ad in your customer account in the section "Company profiles". This ensures that the company profile is displayed online in the desired form for the entire duration of the ad. Of course, you can adjust the company profile during the advertisement period. The changes made will be incorporated into the company profile in real time.
What is a company profile?
The company profile is part of our Premium and PremiumPlus ads and is directly linked there. It is automatically displayed in a separate page area (start page, menu item "Company profiles") during the duration of the booked ad. In the company profile you can present various further information about your company to interested persons. For this purpose, you have various design options available to you in your customer account under the "Company profiles" section.
Activation of an advertisement
Why is my ad not yet activated?
If your ad is submitted to us outside of the above-mentioned service hours (e.g. on a Tuesday at 5 p.m.), it will be activated on the following service day (Wednesday). Should there be any questions regarding your advertisement during the check, we will contact you as soon as possible by phone or e-mail to clarify the matter.
How long does the activation of the ads take?
During the service time Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 17.00 o'clock the activation of advertisements takes place promptly, usually already a few minutes after the booking. Each advertisement is checked by stellenwerk customer service and - if there are no reasons for rejection - is then activated immediately.
Why was my advertisement rejected?
If the examination of an advertisement reveals a reason for rejection, the respective advertisement will be rejected by stellenwerk customer service. In this case, you will receive a standardized confirmation e-mail informing you of the rejection. Possible reasons for rejection are mostly the violation of the applicable general terms and conditions, in particular of the remuneration guidelines or the placement of an advertisement in the wrong category (companies cannot place advertisements in the area of private part-time jobs).
How do nonprofit organizations approach ad placement?
stellenwerk would like to support associations of persons and corporations that serve the common good. To this end, all online job advertisements and the booking of career appointments for the named organizations are 50 percent discounted if the requirements described below are met.
In order to be able to place discounted ads, please proceed in the order described here:
- Register here as a commercial user (type = company).
- After successful registration, please send us the relevant excerpt from the register of associations or alternatively the current exemption certificate from the tax office as a PDF file to firstname.lastname@example.org. In this message please also inform us to which existing customer account (e-mail address) the discount status should be applied. Please note that the discount status of the advertisements or the dates is only valid for the mentioned customer account.
- After our customer service has assigned the discount status to the mentioned customer account, you will receive an e-mail from us to confirm that from this point on all further bookings will be discounted.
In this context, we ask for your understanding that only online job advertisements and the booking of career appointments will be discounted. All other products are also charged at the regular price for non-profit organizations.
When do I place a commercial job ad (for companies)?
Please only place commercial job advertisements. Exceptions:
- Private individuals can place ads free of charge as long as the job advertised does not generate any revenue.
- Institutions and facilities of the universities participating in the stellenwerk network can place job advertisements in your stellenwerk free of charge. If necessary, please contact your human resources department, see also "University internal advertisements".
University internal ads
How do I place an internal university advertisement?
Please register on the appropriate page and create a customer account (type = "university"). After successful registration you can use the area for your university free of charge.
What are university internal advertisements?
University internal advertisements are advertisements from universities organized in the stellenwerk network. Each of these universities can use this special section on their stellenwerk site free of charge.
Termination of an ad placement
Is my commercial/university advertisement permanently deleted?
No, all ads, even those that have been deactivated, are still available in your customer account in the "Bookings" section as a template for future ad placements.
How can I deactivate my private ad placement before the regular term expires?
You will receive a confirmation e-mail from our system parallel to the activation of your ad. This e-mail contains a link that you can use to deactivate the ad directly. If you can no longer access this link, please send us an e-mail with the job ID of the ad in question. We will then promptly deactivate the ad for you within the service hours (Monday to Friday, 10.00 to 17.00 hours).
We ask for your understanding that we can only deactivate ads for which the Job-ID is known or communicated to us.
Is my private ad permanently deleted?
Yes, private ads are not archived after expiration or deactivation.
How can I end my commercial/university ad placement before the regular term expires?
As a rule, the term of online ads placed in the stellenwerk portal is 30 days. In case of Premium or PremiumPlus advertisements also 60 or 90 days. After expiration of the booked term, the advertisement will be deactivated automatically. Parallel to the deactivation of the ad you will receive a confirmation e-mail for information.
In your customer account you can manage your ads in the area "Bookings". Select an ad and then you can deactivate the ad by clicking the corresponding button "Disable". Please note that this is a final deactivation: The ad can only be republished by a new ad (in the case of commercial ads) for a fee.
Is there a minimum remuneration for the tenders published in the stellenwerk portal?
Yes. Advertisers commit themselves to pay at least the legal minimum wage applicable at the time of booking. For jobs involving heavy physical work, the stellenwerk minimum remuneration guideline of 10.00 Euro per hour applies. A monthly remuneration of at least 300.00 Euro applies for internships and offers for practice-related final theses that do not fall under the legal minimum wage.
How are the selected applicants employed?
An employment relationship is only ever established between the advertisers and the selected applicants. This means that the advertisers are responsible for the drafting of an employment contract in accordance with the respective legal requirements. stellenwerk does NOT act as an employer, agent or temporary employment agency.
We ask for your understanding that due to legal regulations regarding the employment of employees, stellenwerk is not allowed to provide legal advice.
When can I place a private job advertisement?
Private advertisements can only be placed by private individuals free of charge if the activity is not commercial or if the activity has no commercial/industrial background and no revenues are generated by the advertised activity. Typical examples of such activities are babysitting, private tutoring, home help, assistance with moving from private homes or personal assistance for people with disabilities.
Why can I not register?
Please check the following possible sources of error:
- Have you filled in every mandatory field marked with an *?
- Did you enter an existing e-mail address (in the correct spelling)?
- Does a customer account already exist for this e-mail address?
Scheduling an ad
Is it possible to publish an advertisement on a certain date in the future?
This is currently not possible. The advertisement will be published on the day of placement or on the following service day (Monday to Friday).
Template manager for ads
Can I cache ads before the booking is completed and edit them at a later date?
The draft of your ad will be saved until the next login. You will automatically be redirected to the place in the booking process.
Can I use old or currently running job ads as a template?
Yes, please log in to your customer account. You can now use current or expired job ads as a template in the "Bookings" section. The respective product category (e.g. student jobs) and also the product (e.g. Premium) will be used. The texts of the original advertisement can be overwritten if necessary.
For job seekers
Do I have to register with stellenwerk to be able to apply for job offers?
No. stellenwerk is a freely accessible job exchange for students and graduates. A registration is currently not required. If the requirements mentioned above apply to you and you are interested in a job offer published in the stellenwerk portal, you can contact the advertiser directly via the way mentioned in the advertisement.
Where can I find the job applications?
The stellenwerk portal is designed exclusively for job offers. There is no area for job applications. Nevertheless, job applications placed via the input form will be deleted without publication.
Actuality of the offers
Are job offers in the stellenwerk portal always up to date?
Yes, all job offers are automatically deleted after the booked period of 30, 60 or 90 days. Job offers that should no longer be vacant can be deactivated by the advertisers beforehand. Only university internal job ads may have a longer duration than described above.
No feedback on my application
I have not received an answer to my application, what can I do?
stellenwerk has no influence on the application management of advertisers. Therefore, we recommend that after a certain period of time you ask directly the contact person/department stated in the advertisement whether the application has been received and when you can expect a reply.
Seriousness of the ads
Are tenders checked in the stellenwerk portal before publication?
It is our goal to publish only serious job advertisements on our portals. This includes checking every incoming advertisement. Despite checking, it can happen that an already published job advertisement turns out to be a dubious offer. If this is the case, every hint is helpful.
